SYSTEMS OF UNCERTAINTY

A video and installation piece by Nadia J. Armstrong

Systems of Uncertainty is a video piece that deals with the question of how we use our technology, its accessibility and our understanding of it. It raises questions about the current digital conversation and the mainstream media. It documents some of the misleading and obsessive narratives that are presented to us online today.

The visuals in Systems of Uncertainty rely upon appropriated materials and found footage - through the use of comparisons, references and relationships between the images the viewer’s thoughts are guided in predetermined directions. Systems of Uncertainty questions both the role of information under surveillance capitalism and the role of the neoliberal posthuman.
